Ever notice your sprinkler just not putting out enough water? This could happen when the inlet pipe filter gets clogged or when something blocks the self-priming pump's impeller. Sometimes it's because you're trying to pump water too high or the machine runs too slowly. I've seen cases where leaky impeller rings cause this issue too. Most folks resolve this by clearing out whatever's blocking the filter or impeller. You might need to lower how high you're pumping or crank up the speed a bit. In some cases, swapping out that worn impeller ring seal does the trick

Water leaking from supply pipes happens more than you'd think. Usually it's because the quick connector's sealing element has worn down or cracked after lots of use. Sometimes dirt just builds up on those connector surfaces where they meet. The fix? Replace that sealing element if it's damaged or simply clean off the connector's contact surface if dirt's the culprit

 

A sprinkler nozzle that won't spin can really ruin your day. This might happen if you've got the rocker arm installed at the wrong angle or it's not high enough. Sometimes the rocker arm works itself loose or maybe that spring's wound too tight. Water path blockages or weak water pressure can stop rotation dead in its tracks. I've seen cases where the gap between the hollow shaft and sleeve gets too tight. Getting things moving again might mean adjusting how the guide plate sits relative to the water flow center line. You might need to tweak that rocker arm screw, tighten the pressure plate screw, or adjust the spring angle. Clear any blockages and check your water pressure. For mechanical issues, polishing the hollow shaft and bushing or replacing worn parts often solves the problem

Jerky nozzle movement drives me crazy. This typically happens when the rocker arm installation isn't quite right, the spring needs adjustment, or that rocker shaft has worked itself loose. Sometimes the reversing mechanism acts up or the rocker shaft shows significant wear. Another possibility? The reversing block might sit too low, creating excessive friction. You can typically fix this by adjusting the rocker arm height and spring tension or securing that loose shaft. You might need to swap out the reversing mechanism spring or the rocker bushing. Adjusting the reversing block height helps in many cases. Don't forget to add some oil to lubricate the swinging shaft block

 

Poor coverage happens when the striker hits the rocker arm too frequently. Incorrect rocker arm height can cause this too. Weak water pressure or clogged passages restrict flow and coverage. I've had good results adjusting the rocker arm spring and its adjusting screw to change how deeply water enters the rocker arm. Sometimes you just need to boost the operating pressure and clear out any debris that's blocking the water path

Avoid using salty water for drip irrigation systems connected to sprinkler machines. These systems work poorly in locations without good washing facilities.
